There was a lady up here in the bay area I was consulting about my Rogue costume, and she utterly failed ( I am NOT wearing a leotard over leggings... lame!)I was fairly disappointed about it, but then I remembered that my friend in LA makes costumes so she is going to make it for me. It is definitely way beyond my sewing ability. I am really psyched for it, it is going to be awesome! This costume, not her X-men outfit.

My friend Seth's friend is making a Gambit costume for Wondercon too so we should be able to take some pics together *mindgasm.* That will pretty much rock my world.

I am also going to be making a Padme Amidala episode 2 arena battle outfit (without battle damage). [link] I'm pretty stoked about that too. TBH my friend Shea is gonna help me with that. My goal this year is to learn to sew so I can do the work all myself. <-noob sewer, but improve immediately now that I seem to love cosplaying.

But..yeah ...take one look at that, that is a LOT of craft foam. Where I can do most of that myself it will be a lot of work and even though I've got 5-6 months until Wondercon I'm already wimping out! We'll see how it does. The other 2 costumes are my priority.

Started reading the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. First, why does he have 2 middle names? And so far the books are amazing. I'm a little over half way through the first book and I'm so hooked. I'm super crushing on the char Jon Snow, so I thought I'd link to some awesome pics I found here on DA.
